Practice & Experience
Ray, Bumgarner, Kingshill & Assoc., P.A. began in Waynesville, North Carolina with Mark Bumgarner as a one-person CPA office in 1981 and grew with the addition of Bill Ray in 1983 and again in 1987 with the addition of Bruce Kingshill. Since then, RBK has grown into a robust accounting practice serving residents and businesses in Haywood and surrounding counties. Our team of certified public accountants, tax and auditing staff, small business specialists and office personnel work together to provide expertise in the areas of individual and corporate taxation, audit & assurance services and management assistance for small businesses.

Nancy Lux

Nancy received both her B.S. in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and began her career with KPMG in St. Louis, MO. She joined Ray, Bumgarner, Kingshill & Assoc. in 2000 and works closely with clients in the areas of tax planning, audit & assurance services, peer review and specializes in governmental audits. Nancy is active in the community and is involved with the Asheville Bicycle Racing Club, Haywood Spay/Neuter, The International Cat Association and HART Theater. Her interests include cats, bicycle racing, bodybuilding, nutrition, fiscal and physical fitness.
Bruce Kingshill
NC CPA License # 10711
Bruce received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee in 1972 and merged with Bill Ray and Mark Bumgarner to form Ray, Bumgarner, Kingshill & Assoc., P.A in 1987. Bruce works closely with clients in the areas of tax planning, audit & assurance services and specializes in peer review services. Bruce is the current Chairman of the North Carolina Association of CPA’s Peer Review Executive Committee and serves as a technical reviewer of Coastal Peer Review, Inc. He is a past member of both the NCACPA Board of Directors and Foundation Board and the past Chairman of Coastal Peer Review, Inc. Bruce is an active member of the Sunrise Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotarian of the Year in both 1998 and 2017.
Alisa Brown

Alisa received her B.A. from the University of Florida and Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University. She joined Ray, Bumgarner, Kingshill & Associates in 2016 and works closely with clients in the areas of tax preparation and planning, and audit and assurance services. She serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee at Givens Estates, and is a board member at Folkmoot USA and Wilderness Trail. Alisa enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with her family.
