Peer Review
Firms that perform accounting, auditing and attestation services within the scope of AICPA standards are required to have a peer review of their accounting and auditing practice once every three years. The peer review process is dedicated to helping firms maintain and improve the quality of these accounting, auditing, and attestation services performed by CPAs in public practice.
RBK is approved by the AICPA to perform peer reviews and we work together with both the AICPA and NCACPA to provide high quality review for our client firms. Bruce Kingshill has served as the Chairman of the North Carolina Peer Review Executive Committee from 2018 through 2020 and is a current member of the North Carolina Peer Review Board.
Our Peer Review services include pre-issue reviews, engagement quality control reviews, system reviews, which focus on a firm’s system of quality control, and engagement reviews, which focus on work performed on selected engagements.
